A donation platform that works the way your charity does.

forGood is a free WordPress add-on built specifically for UK charities. It gives you professional grade donation forms, campaign management, Gift Aid reporting, recurring giving, donor analytics – all running directly on your own website, with no third-party platform sitting between you and your donors.

Because it lives on your WordPress site, your donors never leave your brand experience. Your data stays yours. And because it connects directly to your existing CRM and email tools, it fits into how you already work rather than replacing everything from scratch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is forGood really free?

Yes. The plugin itself is free and open-source – no licence fee, no subscription, no revenue share. The only costs are standard payment processing (Stripe: 1.5% + 20p per transaction; GoCardless: 1% + 20p capped at £4). Nebula charges for installation, configuration and optional ongoing support, but once the plugin is running, it costs you nothing indefinitely.

What’s the difference between forGood and JustGiving?

JustGiving is a third-party platform your donors visit to give. forGood runs on your own WordPress website, so donors never leave your site. JustGiving takes 5% of every donation made through charity pages; forGood takes nothing. The trade-off: JustGiving has peer-to-peer fundraising features and a large existing user base. forGood doesn’t replicate those (yet) — so if peer-to-peer is central to your fundraising, use both. For everything else, forGood will save you significant money.

We already use a donation platform. Is it worth switching?

Often, yes. For most charities, forGood pays back the switching cost within six months. The honest answer depends on your current volumes, platform fees and setup complexity — book a demo and we’ll walk through your numbers with you.

Does forGood work with our CRM?

Directly with Beacon, Donorfy and Raisely. Zapier and Mailchimp are on the near-term roadmap. If you use a different CRM, the CSV export and headless mode mean you can still get clean data out — we’ll advise during the demo.

Is our donors’ data secure?

Yes. forGood stores donor data on your own WordPress installation, which means you are the data controller. Part of the onboarding process runs through various security checks to ensure anything relating to forGood is following best security practices.

Nebula holds no donor data. Card details never touch your website or forGood – they go directly from the donor to Stripe or GoCardless. Nebula holds Cyber Essentials Plus certification and can advise on wider GDPR compliance for your charity.

You can also opt to anonymise donor records or push them straight to your CRM without storing them on the website at all.

How long does forGood take to set up?

For an existing WordPress site, installation and basic configuration takes 1-2 days once we have access. A first campaign with custom branding is typically ready within a week.

What happens if we want to leave forGood later?

Your data is yours. We’ll ensure you have exported everything – donor records, donation history, Gift Aid records – in a standard CSV format. No lock-in, no exit fee.
