In response to Whites Material Handling’s brief, we modernised their existing website from the ground up from MODX to WordPress with a focus on content control and performance.
The Brief
The initial version of the Whites Material Handling website was developed using an outdated Content Management System (CMS) that lacked visual editing capabilities and featured a cumbersome user interface.
The primary objective of this website redevelopment project was to enable the client the ability to effortlessly and efficiently make content revisions independently alongside improving the loading performance.
The Solution
The revamped website has been developed on WordPress, maximising the Gutenberg visual editor with bespoke ACF development unique to this project and the clients requirements.
Aimed at enhancing navigation, we’ve also implemented features that allow content to facilitate seamless referencing and linking.
In addition to content management enhancements, there was a concerted effort to optimise the website’s performance, particularly concerning page and image loading times. This optimisation was undertaken to enhance the user experience for visitors by ensuring swift access to information and resources.
Hosted on our web server, the website also utilises LiteSpeed cache, making each page load in an instant.
Customised Gutenberg Editor
As much as we love looking after client websites, clients should always have full control over their website if they wish. This is where WordPress’ default Gutenberg editor with custom block development comes in.
