Custom Ecommerce stores, purpose-built for mission-led brands.

- MOBILE-RESPONSIVE
- 12+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
A custom WooCommerce store from us is a bespoke block theme with a checkout built to convert, designed, coded and deployed for your organisation. Not a marketplace template. Not a page builder. Not forty plugins fighting each other at the till. Just commerce, done well.
The store
Every project launches with a custom block theme that’s yours to keep, with WooCommerce configured around how you actually sell. Native WordPress editor (no Elementor, no Divi), extended with the product and category patterns your team uses most.
The checkout
We treat the checkout as the most important page on the site, because it is. Fewer steps, no surprise fields, address and postcode logic that behaves, and payment gateways your customers already trust. Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal, configured and tested with real transactions before launch.
The selling experience
We design for the people processing orders. Clear product editing, sensible stock and variation handling, and an order flow your team can run without raising a ticket. Add a product, run a sale, refund an order, all without phoning us.
The foundations
Every store ships with the boring things done properly. PCI-DSS-compliant payment handling, one-click checkout functionality, accessibility from the first component, Core Web Vitals in the green, and shipping and tax rules that match how you really ship, not a guess.
Let’s have a chat
- You’re a brand looking to sell online.
- You want a store your own team can run, not one that needs us every time you add a product.
- You care that the checkout is fast, accessible and trustworthy, not just pretty.
- You’d rather talk to the developer who wrote the code than an account manager.
- You’re interested in a store that returns on investment, not just transactions.
Let’s save you some time
- You want a generic Shopify or marketplace template you can restyle in an afternoon.
- You need a full store launched in two weeks for less than a mid-range laptop.
- You’re looking for a big London agency with multiple account managers between you and the build.
- You want the cheapest quote on the table.
- You’d rather hand over a fixed brief than collaborate as we go.
Our service in numbers
On average, we aim between 90-98 PageSpeed for our WordPress websites. If hosted by Nebula, they’re stored on our 100% client-positive server.

Custom
The praise we’ve kept, from the people we’ve built for.
Nebula exceeded all of our expectations in helping shape the next chapter of Crafter’s Market. Their meticulous attention to detail throughout both the customer and admin journeys has been instrumental to our success.
The knowledge and time the team and Nebula put in to each project and call with me is brilliant! Always work promptly to get our projects up and running and talk me (a very non techy person) through everything. Really appreciate their support. Would definitely recommend.
Five stages. No mystery. Same team throughout.

Three builds. Different shapes, same playbook.
The questions we hear most – answered honestly.
If your question isn’t here, email [email protected] or book a 30 minute discovery call. No sales deck, promise.
Why WooCommerce and not Shopify?
WooCommerce keeps the store inside your own WordPress site, so your content, blog and shop live together and you own all of it. No monthly platform fee taking a slice of every sale, no lock-in, and no per-transaction tax beyond your payment processor’s own fees.
How long does a typical store build take?
Ten to eighteen weeks for a standard charity or small-brand shop: roughly two weeks discovery, four to five weeks design, and the rest on build, product migration and launch. Larger catalogues or complex shipping add time.
Can you migrate us from Shopify, Wix or Squarespace?
Yes, and we’ve done it many times. We’ll map every product and URL for SEO, migrate your orders and customers cleanly, and keep your old analytics working.
Which payment gateways do you support?
Stripe, GoCardless and PayPal as standard, plus most major UK gateways. We configure and test each one with real transactions before you go live, so there are no nasty surprises at the till.
What about PCI-DSS and security?
Card data never touches your server, we use hosted, tokenised payment fields from your gateway, which keeps you in the simplest PCI-DSS scope. The wider site is hardened the same way every Nebula build is.
Can you build subscriptions or memberships?
Yes. Recurring donations, subscription boxes and membership tiers are all possible in WooCommerce, billed through Stripe or GoCardless.
Who owns the code once we’re done?
You do. Every website we develop is fully handed off to you.
Tell us about the shop, the problem, or the bright idea.
