People’s Postcode Trust

People’s Postcode Trust gives Scottish charities up to £50,000 across three years, and it’s unrestricted. You apply on the strength of your whole organisation, then spend it where you need it, website included.

The last round of 2026 runs 24 September to 1 October.

• What they fund: Unrestricted funding. The Trust’s own FAQs say the money doesn’t need to be tied to a specific project or activity, and the funding guide asks to hear about your whole organisation rather than specific costs. A website sits inside that without needing to be dressed up as a digital project.
• Typical grants: Up to £50,000 over three years. Ask for no more than 75% of your annual income, and no more than 50% of the award can be paid in any one year.
• Who can apply: Registered charities, CICs and charitable community benefit societies in Scotland with an income between £10,000 and £1 million, operating for at least 12 months with signed accounts. If the round is oversubscribed, priority goes to organisations with an income under £250,000.
• The angle: You pick one funding theme per application: poverty, mental health, arts participation, or marginalised groups and inequality. Choose the one your work genuinely fits and write about the organisation rather than a shopping list. The success rate was 13% in 2025, so this is worth a considered application rather than a quick punt.
• Worth knowing: This is round 3, the last of 2026, and unlike the short windows the sibling trusts run, it stays open the full eight days. Decisions land on 29 October.
